Bravo Gretchen!Another fabulous portrait!! This is my second commission but will not be my last. The website is wonderful but does not do justice to your work. The pieces need to be seen in person to be appreciated. I would urge any one who is considering a portait of a favorite horse or pet to at least have the photos done now.You had the challenge of working from a poor quality photo of Windy Ryan(who has been deceased 7 years) and did a fabulous job. I am so glad that you could take photos of Sam and get to know him and create such a magnificent piece for my husband to treasure always.
Welcome to my website!
I have been creating equine and canine portraits for about 10 years. Being an avid rider and lover of horses and the equine form since the age of five, I have always been drawn to animals in my artwork. For my commissioned pieces I work in four mediums, graphite /pencil, oils, digital color renditions and candid photography. Please keep in mind that all commissions begin with a photo and even though I may be booked for 6 months, the photos can be done at anytime. Please contact me for session availability. To learn more about each medium please click on the appropriate links.
My goal with each piece is to create an exacting portrait which will reveal the true personality of your animal. Rates and time line vary depending on size and medium, please call to inquire. On a separate note, I have samples of original art in oils, and oil pastels for sale and in print. I now offer prints for many of the mediums, please check under the image for offerings.
